Toledo, Oh - Coach Tony Guerra and his staff are presenting the "Be The Champ" Technique Camp. A four day commuter technique camp at the FoxFire wrestling facility. Two sessions daily, eight sessions and 20hours of instruction total. It's looking to be a hammer camp! Indianapolis, IN - Ohio's Schoolboy Team traveled to Warren Central High School for the 2010 National Duals consisting of two tournaments over a four day period. See coverage here. During days one and two, the Greco-Roman squad competed in ten dual meets against nine different states (IN, MI, IL, NC, GA, NJ, FL, MN, KN), for the first time in Ohio's history, the GR schoolboy squad earned All-American status and finished 8th out of the 28 team field. This 2010 Ohio team has earned a spot in the Foxfire Facility's Gallery of Champions! Team Ohio competed in nine FS dual meets starting the evening of day two and continuing through days three and four.  Ohio competed against TN, NY, IA, GA, MN, ID, MO, WI, OK and came home with a 6-3 dual meet record finishing in the upper half of the thirty-one team field. In total, Team Ohio competed in nineteen dual meets over four days against our Nation's best schoolboy (born 1996-1997) wrestlers. Foxfire Training Facility - Foxfire hosted the 2010 Schoolboy Training Camp. The group was privileged to get instruction from USA Wrestling's top brass: Head FS Coach Zeke Jones. See Zeke ending session #1. National level Coach James Tanniehill also traveled in from Indianapolis to share his time with the campers and current world level competitor JD Bergman ran two sessions as well. The camp featured six sessions over a two day period preparing the group for the upcoming Schoolboy National Duals held 9-13 June in Indianapolis, IN Tournament Information. East Lansing, MI - Foxfire wrestlers traveled to Michigan State University to complete in the Borderwars Midwest Grand Challenge. DJ Beauch competed in the high school division with team Matsharks. DJ was undefeated on the day at 7-0 and his team came home with the Championship Plaque! Josh Mossing, Nate Hagen, and Alex Rosales competed in six dual meets obtaining four team victories in the Junior High division. Wadsworth, OhioNational Team which will compete in Fargo North Dakota July 18th-24th. Alex Mossing and Matt Pool earned spots on the Cadet Greco-Roman Team. Jason Mossing earned a spot on the Junior Greco-Roman team and DJ Beauch earned spots on both the Junior Greco-Roman and Freestyle teams. DJ added another Ohio Freestyle State Championship to his list of accomplishments! Matt Pool earned five Foxfire achievement points for his high amplitude 5-point Greco-Roman throw! The Foxfire club is eager to help these young men train & conduct some fundraising as they prepare for the National tournament. Copley, Ohio - Four Foxfire wrestlers and three officials traveled to Copley High School to participate in the final 2010 USA wrestling qualifier prior to the Cadet and Junior state Freestyle and Greco-Roman championships. Dayton Stebbins - Twelve Foxfire Wrestlers traveled to Dayton Ohio for the Schoolboy and Kids State Championship as well as a Cadet and Junior State Qualifier. JoshV and JoshM won individual state championships in their respective weight classes and have earned a spot on the Ohio Shoolboy National Greco-Roman Team to compete in Indianapolis, IN June 9-11. Cleveland Ohio - The United State's best wrestlers converged on the Campus of Cleveland State University for the U.S. Open. These wrestlers were battling for position to represent the United States in World Championship competition. Ohio's J.D. Delta Ohio - Foxfire Wrestling Club gathered a stellar team to participate in the 2010 Schoolboy Festival. Dual meets in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman were contested. Toledo area has best year ever at Junior High State Championships!  In the month of Feb over 2000 junior high wrestlers competed at eight district tournaments throughout Ohio for the chance to compete in one of eighteen weight classes at the single division Junior High State Championship Tournament.  Junior Rocks and Foxfire wrestlers competed in over 40 matches at this year's event held at Veteran's Memorial Coliseum in Marion, Ohio for the 12th annual Junior High State Championships.  Alex M and Jesus R earned all-state honors by placing 3rd and 7th respectively!   Josh M earned 2 victories in his 7th grade season.  J'Lyn A qualified to the prestigious event as a first year wrestler.  Other all-Ohio performances from the FoxFire wrestling club were Nate H and JP Newton. Mar 13-14, 2010 Grade School State Tournament - Junior Rocks and Foxfire grade school wrestlers qualified for and competed at Marion's Veteran Memorial Coliseum in the 7th annual Grade School State Championships.  Otha J was crowned as a State Champion in the Division III 75 lb class!  Brandon H earned a 7th place all-Ohio finish in the Division IV 130 lb class!  Josh V and Burrow A earned two and one victories respectively.  See photos of these wrestlers as well as several other Foxfire teammates here: Day 1 Photos(43), Day 2 Photos(93).

Attention Wrestlers born in 1996 or 1997.   Looking for an opportunity to Train & compete with the best this Spring & Summer? Foxfire, a sanctioned USA Wrestling club, is putting together a Northwest OH All-Star team to compete in the Ohio Schoolboy Festival (April: Delta, OH), training for the Freestyle (FS) and Greco-Roman (GR) State Championships (May: Dayton, OH) for qualification to the Schoolboy National Duals (June: Indianapolis, IN). Feb 21, 2010 Junior High District Championships - Eight Junior Rock wrestlers represented the FoxFire Wrestling Club and traveled to Bowling Green State University to participate in the Junior High District Championships.  Four wrestlers advance to the Junior High State championships.  Alex M and Alex R were crowned as district champions!!  Josh M placed 5th and J'Lyn A placed 6th.  Alternates for the State Championships are Ahmad J and Collin K, both placed 8th.  Photos.
