30 July 2009 Milan Week #6 - The foxfire contingent finished the Milan Summer Duals wrestling season by competing in four dual matches bringing their season total to fourteen! Congratulations goes to all who took advantage of this modified Folkstyle competition opportunity!! - Two individuals came home with 1st place medals for winning their age/weight division: congratulations to Matt Pool and Josh Mossing for the achievement! 24 July 2009 - Cadet Freestyle Championships-Team Ohio finishes in 3rd place behind IL and PA. Ohio brings home one National Champion  - Kagan Squire from Wadsworth HS.  DJ Beauch from Toledo Central Catholic battled in the morning session against Justin Kothe from Iowa and was victorious in the final session over Micah Barnes from MN to finish 7th at 145 pounds. Team Ohio had three All-Americans in Greco-Roman and eleven All-americans in Freestyle, DJ Beauch was the lone person from Ohio to All-American in both styles at the 2009 tournament.  Mr. Beauch competed in 17 matches against our Nation's best over a seven day period to accomplish that task!! 23 July 2009 - Milan week #5 - Seven wrestlers traveled to Milan Michigan for modified folkstyle Competition - taking advantage of summer wrestling opportunities. See Photos Here   
23 July 2009 - Cadet Freestyle National Championships - Day2 .... Ohio advances eleven Cadets to the medal round! DJ Beauch enters into the 3rd day of Freestyle competition with a FS record of 6-1 and has earned All-American Status for Freestyle!! Congratulations DJ! 22 July 2009 - Cadet Freestyle National Championships - Day1 ... 954 Cadets from 46 States began the day of National competition, Team Ohio consisted of 63 cadets and after a full day if competition, Ohio has sixteen advancing to Day2,  DJ Beauch remains undefeated with a record of 5-0. 21 July 2009 - Off Day for the Cadets in Fargo - Team Foxfire traveled to Detroit Lakes MN and went 'tubin down the OtterTail River' and tested the Fargo Thunder Road GoKart track.  The break away from the arena was a good one!! See Photos Here  Order High res photos here

20 July 2009 Day 3 Asics/Vaughan National Championships - Team Ohio finished the Cadet Greco-Roman National tournament with a 5th place finish by Tony Martin (171) of Toledo Central Catholic High School and a pair of 6th place finishes by DJ Beauch (145) & Nick NuseKabel (285) of Toledo Central Catholic and Cincinnati Elder high schools respectively. 19 July 2009 Day 2 Asics/Vaughan Cadet/Junior National Championships @ North Dakota State's Fargo Dome.  Upon completion of day2, three Ohio Cadets have earned themselves All-American honors in the 2009 Greco-Roman competition! DJ Beauch (145), Tony Martin (171), and Nick Nusekabel (285) all three have secured a spot on the National podium! DJ and Tony attend Toledo Central Catholic High School and  Nick attends Cincinnati Elder. DJ & Tony have just completed their Sophomore year of high school and Nick his Frshman year - they have made productive use of their summer vacation!!! Trackwrestling.com,  **See Photos Here**,  Order HighRes Photos Here
18 July 2009 Day 1 at the 39th Annual Asics/Vaughan USAW Cadet Greco-Roman National Tournament Fargo, ND -  A total of 782 wrestlers from forty-one states represent the entries in the Cadet Greco-Roman Tournament. Thirty-five Team Ohio (Cadet GR) wrestlers across seventeen weight divisions competed in 114 matches and came away with 52 victories. Devin Spencer (145) gained some valuable experience. Nick McCall (171) secured two victories. DJ Beauch (145) & Tony Martin (171) ended the day 4-1 and 4-0 respectively. DJ and Tony were two of the six Team Ohio guys advancing to the All-American determining session on Day2.  Other Team Ohio guys still competing are: Tim Fox (135), Justin Stitzlein(140), Xavier Dye(171), & Nick Nusekabel (285). 16 July 2009 Milan Week #4 - Eleven wrestlers, one coach, a photographer, and fans traveled to Milan Michigan for summer dual meet competition.  The gang went 2-1 in dual meets taking their summer record to 7-1. Excellent experience was gathered especially by the younger guys!! See Photos Here  
25 June 2009 Milan Week #3 - The Fifteen wrestlers, three coaches, two photographers, & fans traveled to Milan for summer competition. The team was 2-0 in dual meet competition bringing their 2009 summer season record to 5-0. All in all the gang went 21-6 in competition! Good experience was gained in an efficient wrestling format ... thanks to Milan, MI HS for hosting the event!  See results and upcoming schedule here, See Photos Here
20 June 2009 Bryan Summer Duals - Team Foxfire is joining TheWrestlingClub and participating in the Bryan Duals tournament. The Squad went 4-1 in dual meet competition and finished 2nd out of the field of twelve teams. Solid competition was had and excellent offseason experience was gained!  See Photos Here,
18-19 June 2009 School Boy National Duals - Indianapolis, IN - Team Ohio competed against the Nation's top school boy dual meet teams. Josh and Alex Mossing gained valuable experience against top level competition! Twenty-four teams from twenty States competed, NJ, IL, MO, MN, PA were the top five Greco-Roman finishers. 18 June 2009 Milan Week #2 - Fourteen wrestlers, two coaches, and a bus driver traveled to Milan MI for Folkstyle competition. The team wrestling one official dual meet and one exhibition dual bringing their summer record to 3-0. Experience was gained and fun was had!  See Photos Here
June 13th marked the end of the USA wrestling 2009 Spring season.  The Foxfire wrestling club campaigned 24 wrestlers across 6 age groups at 9 different USA tournaments within the state of Ohio. Over the 3 month period these wrestlers took full advantage of the opportunities, competing in 479 matches.  Some individuals exceeded 40 individual bouts since March, experienced different cities and had some fun in the process! 11 members qualified for Ohio National Teams (9 Cadets & 2 Schoolboys). Foxfire also fostered the development of 4 new USA wrestling officials who represented themselves as professionals!  Foxfire would like to thank the USA Wrestling-Ohio organization for providing the opportunities to these aspiring athletes!
13 June 2009 Freestyle State Championships Eight cadets battled for spots on the Ohio National Freestyle team at Wadsworth High School - The gang competed in twenty-six matches and came home with thirteen victories against some of the state's top competition. DJ Beauch earned his 2nd USA wrestling state championship in as many weeks! Tony Martin was a runner-up and Jason Mossing earned a bronze medal! Brian Elden, Devin Spencer, Vicente Vielma, Ronnie Sanner & Arron O'brien all wrestled well and earned valuable offseason experience as well. See Photos Here
11 June 2009 Milan Week #1 Summer Competition Camp at Milan High School. Eighteen wrestlers particpated in thirty-eight matches and came home with thrity-one individual victories and two team dual meet victories. Expereince was gained and fun was had by all!! Information  See Photos Here
10 June 2009 Workout with TheWrestlingClub Wauseon, OH - 19 Foxfire wrestlers and four coaches traveled to Wauseon for a throwing technique session! Techniques were learned and fun was had by all!
6 June 2009 Greco-Roman State Championships.  Seven Cadets and one Junior competed at the Greco-Roman State Championships. DJ Beauch and Tony Martin came home with State Championships and won in dominating fashion! Devin Spencer, Vicente Vielma, Arron O'Brien, Ronnie Sanner, Dan Cook all earned spots on the Ohio National Team. The Foxfire gang has earned a total of 9 spots on the National team: Cadets Brian Elden 125lbs, DJ Deauch 145lbs, Jason Mossing 145lbs, Devin Spencer 152lbs, Tony Martin 160lbs, Vicente Vielma 171lbs, Ronnie Sanner 189lbs, Arron O'Brien 285lbs, and Junior Dan Cook 140lbs. Alex Padilla is #2 on the Cadet National Team alternate list. 23-24 May 2009 USA Wrestling Central Regional - Columbus Ohio - Nine Foxfire wrestlers competed in 46 matches and came home with 23 victories against some sizable competition from fourteen different states (MN, IA, MO, WI, IL, MI, OH, KY, NY, PA, NJ, WV, NC). Cadets and Juniors placing in the top three of their age and weight divisions earned a spot on the Ohio National Team which will compete at the 2009 Accelerade National Championships in Fargo North Dakota July 18th -25th. DJ Beauch and Tony Martin earned spots on the Freestyle team by placing 1st and 2nd respectively. Brian Elden, Jason Mossing, DJ Beauch, Tony Martin earned spots on the team by placing 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 2nd respectively in their Greco-Roman weight divisions. Brian Elden earned five additional foxfire points and DJ earned 20 additional foxfire points by completing 5 point maneuvers in competition!! 16 May 2009 Kids State Championships Seven Schoolboy/Novice/Intermediate wrestlers competed in the USA-Ohio State Championships while five NW Ohio cadets competed in qualifying action at Dayton Stebbins High School. 9 May 2009 Copley Qualifier Eleven wrestlers and three officials from the FoxFire Wrestling Club traveled to Akron, O  H for the Copley Greco Roman and Freestyle qualifier. See Results Here See Photos Here
2 May 2009 Clay Qualifier Thirteen wrestlers and four Foxfire USA wrestling officials participated in the Oregon Clay Greco Roman and Freestyle qualifier. Brian Elden and Dan Cook each earn five bonus Foxfire achievement points by scoring five point throws in competition! See Results Here See Photos here 
18 Apr 2009 Elyria Qualifier - Foxfire wrestlers traveled to NE Ohio and competed in both Greco Roman and Freestyle tournaments! See Results here, See Photos here

4 Apr 2009 Dayton Carroll Qualifier - Fourteen Foxfire wrestlers earned over 140 Foxfire achievement points and had lots of fun wrestling in the Dayton Carroll Greco-Roman and Freestyle qualifier. See Results here. See Photos here.

21-22 Mar 2009 Grade School States 6th Annual Grade School State Championships, Marion OH - Six members of the Foxfire gang traveled to Marion Ohio for the Grade School state championships - Four of them earned All-Ohio honors: OthaJ, CollinK, ColinK, and JoshM. 20-21 Mar 2009 Springfield Open Holland Springfield HS Annual Spring Tournament - Foxfire members traveled down the street to compete in the annual Springfield Open Tournament Coach Tony Vaughn and Coach Roshawn Jones came out of  retirement competing in Friday night action. 14-15 Mar 2009 JH States 11th Annual JH State Championships - Eight wrestlers from the Spring training session competed in Marion Ohio - JohnH earned All-Ohio status by placing 6th. See photos here  See results here
