Founder- Doc Leffler
Coach Leffler started the wrestling program at Toledo St. Francis de Sales High School in 1956 and continued as head coach for 15 years. During that time, the Knights put together Ohio's longest high school dual meet win streak of 120 consecutive wins. In 1966-67, Coach Leffler was the president of the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association. During his tenure his high school team won two State Championships in 1964 and 1970. In 1971 Coach Leffler was the first coach named as the Ohio High School Coach of the Year. Doc is a member of the Ohio High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He is a member of the University of Toledo's Athletic Hall of Fame as a wrestler. In 1971 Doc campaigned the US Junior World Wrestling Team to Japan. In 1972 Doc coached the US Junior World Team in the Greater European Games in Trieste, Italy. Doc has coached 11 individual Ohio High School State champions. Doc's most recent State Champion was Sli Bostleman in 2006. From 2008-2011 Doc was instrumental in the success of the Toledo Central Catholic High School wrestling program. Over that four year period the Irish had 18 state qualifiers, 11 state place winners and 2 top four OHSAA Division II finishes.
Doc has a proven record of campaigning individuals and building champions. Doc is eager to continue this trend with the FoxFire Wrestling Club!
Head Coach - Sli Bostelman
Coach Bostelman is a 2011 graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Movement with a minor in athletic coaching. Sli was an academic all MAC award winner and a five year varsity wrestler with the Golden Flashes. Sli was a team captain and 2X Mid American Conference place winner. Sli was an Ohio State Champion from Otsego High School also earning High School All American honors. During high school Sli also earned individual state championships in Freestyle and Greco Roman.
Administrative Committee - Richard Jackson, Sr.
Richard is currently working for Ohio Teaching-Family Association as Director of Supportive Services. His wrestling career started at Toledo Macomber/Whitney where he wrestled from 1984-1988. Richard served as the Assistant Varsity Coach for Macomber/Whitney from 1988-1991, and Toledo Scott from 1991-1993. Richard has also been involved in Martial Arts. He is an Instuctor level Kung Fu Martial Artist and has been a Martial Arts instructor at the Toledo Catholic Club and Vistula Neighborhood Center in 1995. He assisted with Self-Defense seminars at the University of Toledo and Eastern Michigan University. Richard resides in Toledo with his wife, Maria and 3 children.
Administrative Committee - Kraig Keil
Coach Kraig Keil has been actively involved with area wrestling. Kraig has recently coached at Anthony Wayne prior to joining FoxFire. Kraig is the General Manager of Perrysburg Floor Covering. Kraig and his wife Lora have two children and reside in Whitehouse.
Administrative Committee - John Mossing
Coach Mossing was instrumental in starting the St. Francis Wrestling Club in 2003 and the Toledo Central Catholic Junior Rocks Wrestling Club in 2007. He continues to handle all of the administrative duties associated with the Junior Rocks. Coach Mossing boosts wrestling in the Northwest Ohio Region by introducing young men to the sport of wrestling and fostering their love of the sport. He created and continues to maintain the cchswrestling.org website featuring many of the up and coming wrestlers of Northwest Ohio.
Administrative Committee - Jim Turner
Coach Jim Turner has been actively involved with area youth football and wrestling teams. Jim has recently coached Christ the King CYO football and currently coaches Ottawa Hills youth football. Prior to joining FoxFire, Jim was an assistant wrestling coach at St. Joseph Sylvania. Jim is the owner of Turner Signs. Jim and his wife Tiffany have six children and reside in Sylvania.
